In the heart of the Rajasthan, Nagaur has weathered the troubles and conflicts of the region. Nagaur Fort was originally built in the 12th century and since then it has remained historically, culturally, and strategically important. Today, it stands as one of the finest examples of Rajput-Mughal architecture, a true testament to the syncretism of India. Through restoration and conservation efforts, the Fort’s former glory has been revived as it now serves as a heritage hotel. 

Within Nagaur Fort, there are 18th-century royal enclosures, ten havelis to be exact. These were built by Bakhat Singh, who, enmeshed in the wars and politics of the region, sought out a refuge from the troubles of the world. This was his idea of Paradise on Earth.
